Running out of drinks halfway through the party is the worst. So is a freezer full of leftovers. Here is the quick math for getting it right.
The short answer
Every 16 oz bottle of Daiquiri Joe makes 8 drinks. A Party Pack comes with 3 bottles, so it makes 24 frozen drinks. At $29.95 with free shipping, that’s about $1.25 a drink.
How many drinks will your guests want?
A common hosting rule of thumb: plan on about 2 drinks per guest in the first hour and 1 per hour after that. For a 3-hour party, that’s about 4 drinks per guest.
| Guests | Drinks (3-hour party) | Bottles | What to order |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6 | 24 | 3 | 1 Party Pack |
| 12 | 48 | 6 | 2 Party Packs |
| 20 | 80 | 10 | 3 Party Packs + 1 bottle |
| 30 | 120 | 15 | 5 Party Packs |
Not everyone will want a frozen drink, so if you are also serving beer, wine or other drinks, you can scale down.
Everyone can drink it
Daiquiri Joe is 100% non-alcoholic, so the same batch works for designated drivers and guests who don’t drink. Spike some batches and leave others alcohol-free, and label which is which.
Bringing your own spirits?
Each batch uses one bottle-fill of spirit (16 oz). A standard 750 ml bottle holds about 25 oz, so:
- 1 batch (8 drinks): 16 oz, a bit over half a 750 ml bottle
- Full Party Pack (24 drinks): 48 oz, about two 750 ml bottles
Your timeline
- A week out: order. Most orders arrive in 3–7 business days.
- The night before: mix and freeze. Each batch needs to freeze overnight.
- Party time: knead the bag, pour and serve.
